    Environmental and social sustainability<\/h2>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

    Protection of the natural environment is one of the founding values of SVAS Biosana. For this reason, an Integrated Management System for Quality, Environment and Safety has been implemented and certified in accordance with ISO 14001, defining a Company Policy and procedures to ensure the controlled management of processes\/products and activities relating to environmental protection (Pollution\u00a0Prevention).
    Periodic monitoring of environmental performance allows environmental impact and associated risks to be minimised. In particular, the company constantly pursues:<\/p>

    • A reduction in electricity consumption through the optimization of the systems and through the regular monitoring of consumption<\/li>
    • A reduction in consumption of water resources, monitoring the consumption of industrial systems and ensuring their efficiency thanks to a planned maintenance and by raising awareness among employees – in order to avoid any waste – and recovering rainwater for the irrigation of green spaces<\/li>
    • A reduction in liquid propane gas consumption, through the optimization of the systems and through the regular monitoring of consumption<\/li>
    • A better use of raw materials during the production process, through the reduction of production waste and the use of plastic<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

      SVAS Biosana periodically performs a Life Cycle Assessment (or LCA), which is based on the relevant standards: ISO 14025, ISO 14040, ISO 14044 and PCR. It aims to quantify the environmental footprint (environmental impact) of a product throughout its entire life cycle.
      The medical devices manufactured by the Farmex business line are also fully PEFC (Programme for Endorsement of Forest Certification) certified. This means that only cellulose (wood material) sourced entirely from sustainably managed forests in accordance with strict international PEFC criteria is used.
      SVAS Biosana\u2019s industrial and commercial objectives are combined with not only its environmental sustainability objectives, but also its social ones. It is particularly keen to ensure the wellbeing of employees and maintain a stimulating, productive, fair and supportive working environment that respects the dignity of each individual.
